PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding apparatus capable of adjusting timing at which a sheet is set on a manual feed tray in a printing apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding apparatus, which can be mounted on a printing apparatus including a manual feed tray, includes a fixing unit for fixing the sheet feeding apparatus to the printing apparatus with the manual feed tray opened, a sheet accumulation unit capable of accumulating a predetermined number of sheets, a conveyance unit for conveying the sheets accumulated in the sheet accumulation unit onto the manual feed tray one at a time using a conveyance belt, and a sensor unit for detecting the presence or absence of the sheet conveyed onto the manual feed tray by the conveyance unit. The conveyance unit does not convey, when the sensor unit detects that there is a sheet on the manual feed tray, the subsequent sheet, and conveys, after a lapse of a predetermined time set since the sensor unit detected that there was no sheet on the manual feed tray, the subsequent sheet. |
