PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to suppress a reduction in productivity of printing, while suppressing excessive temperature rise in a device.SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes: a printing unit 40 that prints an image on a sheet; a fixing thermistor 55 as a temperature detection unit that detects a temperature inside the device; and a controller 80 as a control unit. The controller 80 executes processing for counting a counter 87 every time print processing is executed by the printing unit 40, processing for increasing and decreasing the count value of the counter 87 on the basis of temperatures at two points detected by the fixing thermistor 55, and temperature rise suppression processing for suppressing temperature rise inside the device, provided that the count value of the counter 87 reaches a threshold. |
