PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral antibacterial composition capable of maintaining oral hygiene, improving the oral environment, and acting gently in the human body.SOLUTION: A oral composition contains at least one anthraquinone derivative selected from rhein and aloe-emodin contained in Rheum and glycoside thereof. These anthraquinone derivative may be derived from Rheum, aloe, or senna. The composition may be in the form of a toothpaste, liquid dentifrice, dental gel, gargle, mouthwash, candy, lozenge, or chewing gum. The composition has high antibacterial activity against Porphyromonas gingivalis which is one of the periodontal disease bacteria, and is used as a treatment agent or prevention agent for periodontal disease and a related disease thereof, and a prevention agent for aspiration pneumonia. |
