Method of determining the mass of a vehicle (1) furnished with a front axle unit and with a rear axle unit, and corresponding vehicle, the method comprising a measurement of the angle of the slope (alpha) of the track (2) whereon is the vehicle, a measurement of the angle of tilt of said track, a measurement of the vertical force exerted on the front axle unit of the vehicle and on the rear axle unit of the vehicle, and a calculation of the mass of the vehicle on the basis of the vertical forces exerted on the front and rear axle units, of the angles of slope and of tilt and of a coefficient corresponding to the horizontal forces transmitted on the rear axle unit. |
