<p>Disclosed is a method for delivering an email, which comprises: before sending a mail, a mail system of a sender determining whether a mail system of a recipient supports a mail address of an RFC6532 format, wherein the mail system of the sender supports the mail address of the RFC6532 format and the mail includes the mail address of the RFC6532 format; if yes, sending the mail to the mail system of the recipient; if no, modifying the mail and sending the modified mail to the mail system of the recipient. Also disclosed is a mail system. Only by expanding a record item of a domain name, the present invention can learn whether a site supports an internationalized mail address protocol through DNS query, and effectively and quickly determine whether a mail system of a recipient supports the internationalized mail address protocol, providing a quick and accurate determination basis for a mail system to solve compatibility between mails using new and old protocols.</p> |
