PURPOSE: A global positioning system (GPS) information correction apparatus and a method thereof are provided to improve correction efficiency for a moving object linearly moving such as aircraft and a plurality of moving objects with the higher receive density of GPS information. CONSTITUTION: A Kalman filter unit (12) samples GPS information and applies a Kalman filter to the sampled GPS information to generate a correction trajectory for the sampled GPS information. A trajectory estimation unit (13) produces a predicted correction trajectory for GPS information to be inputted using the generated correction trajectory. A minimum distance calculator (14) produces the minimum distance between the produced predicted correction trajectory and the inputted GPS information and one point on the predicted correction trajectory which forms the minimum distance. When the produced minimum distance is smaller than a predetermined reference error distance, a GPS information corrector (15) corrects the inputted GPS information into the one point on the predicted correction trajectory which forms the minimum distance.
