When the Qpmod is larger than a pre-independent-correction lower limit Qpsmin, a post-correction main injection amount Qmmod is determined as a pre-correction main injection amount Qm (S18-S22). Further, when the Qpmod is equal to or smaller than the Qpsmin, the Qpmod is calculated (S18, S24). When the Qpmod is larger than a pre-injection amount lower limit Qpmin, the Qpmod and a combustion post-correction amount are calculated and when the combustion post-correction amount is larger than 0, a fuel post-injection amount is corrected (SS26-S34). Further, when the Qpmod is equal to or smaller than the Qpmin, the Qmmod and the combustion post-injection amount are calculated and when the combustion post-correction amount is larger than 0, the fuel post-injection amount is corrected (S26, S36-S44). Then an HC addition post-injection amount is corrected (S46).
