PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microporous film which can be relatively inexpensively produced and can easily give a desired aeration amount.SOLUTION: The microporous film includes pores which are formed by applying an external force to high embrittlement regions comprising a second resin that are dispersed to adjoin each other in a film body formed of a first resin, so as to collapse the high embrittlement regions. The high embrittlement regions have mesh-like structures formed of the second resin; and the meshes of the high embrittlement regions having mesh-like structures are connected by the external force to form pores penetrating the film body from the top to back surfaces thereof.
