<p>A clothes dryer is provided with: a heat pump device (10); a drum drive motor for rotationally driving a rotating drum (2); and a blower (6) for supplying warm air heated by the heat pump device (10) into the rotating drum (2). The clothes dryer is also provided with: a circulation air flow path (5) for conducting drying air, which is delivered by the blower (6), to the rotating drum (2) after causing the drying air to flow from a heat absorber (14) to a heat radiator (12); and a state detection unit (16) for detecting the state of the heat pump device (10). The clothes dryer is further provided with: a control unit (20) for controlling drying operation; and a drive output reduction unit for reducing drive output to the drum drive motor. The control unit (20) has a drive output reduction unit for reducing the drive output of the rotating drum (2) and performs the on-off control of a compressor (11) on the basis of the output of the state detection unit (16). When the compressor (11) is in an OFF state, the control unit (20) causes the drive output reduction unit to reduce drive output to the drum drive motor.</p> |
