摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active material or the like, capable of achieving a lithium ion secondary battery excellent in output characteristics.SOLUTION: An active material according to the present invention contains: a complex oxide containing Li and at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Mn, and Co; and MgPO. The active material contains 0.2-7.0 pts.mass of MgPOto 100 pts.mass of the complex oxide. A method for producing an active material according to the present invention includes a step for firing a mixture containing MgNHPO-HO and a complex oxide containing Li and at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Mn, and Co, the mixture containing 0.3-9.0 pts.mass of MgNHPO-HO to 100 pts.mass of the complex oxide.
