PURPOSE: A primer for molecular identification of Staphylococcus aureus and a method for identifying Staphylococcus aureus using the same are provided to replace genotype identification of Staphylococcus aureus using existing multilocus sequence typing (MLST) with molecular identification. CONSTITUTION: A method for identifying the genotype of Staphylococcus aureus comprises the steps of: amplifying 1st-3538th base sequences of rpoB gene of Staphylococcus aureus; sequencing the amplified 1st-3538th base sequences of rpoB gene; and comparing the sequences acquired through sequencing with base sequences of rpoB gene of a reference strain and determining genotype. The amplification and sequencing are performed using a primer with a base sequence except 42nd, 127th, 255th, 453rd, 497th, 546th, 570th, 609th, 843rd, 858th, 885th, 894th, 972nd, 975th, 1011st, 1065th, 1122nd, 1122nd, 1131st, 1140th, 1142nd, 1143rd, 1176th, 1388th, 1390th, 1401st, 1411st, 1417th, 1422nd, 1429th, 1434th, 1441st, 1506th, 1554th, 1566th, 1658th, 1797th, 1845th, 1890th, 1974th, 2013rd, 2040th, 2073rd, 2181st, 2192nd, 2210th, 2304th, 2393rd, 2624th, 2682nd, 2697th, 2736th, 2829th, 2844th, 2847th, 2859th, 2874th, 2982nd, 3144th, 3159th, 3195th, 3225th, 3494th, and 3495th bases in a sequence of sequence number 9, or a base sequence of 7-50bp which is complementary to the base sequence. |
