摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable holding structure for an optical connector capable of reducing the processing cost by doing away with a caulking process and a boot, and of reliably holding an optical fiber cable.SOLUTION: An optical connector includes: a housing for storing a ferrule connected to a tip of an optical fiber 15; a sleeve 23 having a cylinder part 21 which is led out of a rear opening of the housing when an optical fiber 15 is inserted; an annular groove 25 formed on a rear end surface 67 of the cylinder part 21; a ring 27 having a folded part 79 folded back outside which an envelope 47 and a tensile-strength line 45 of an optical fiber cable 13 at its tip are put into; an omission preventing projection 31 which engages with a ring rear end part 33 of the ring 27, interposing the envelope 47 and the tensile-strength line 45 of the folded part 79 disposed on an outside opening edge 29 of the annular groove 25 and inserted with the ring 27 into the annular groove 25; and a holding power improvement enlarged part 35 which is formed on a ring rear end part 33 and enlarges an engaging force with the omission preventing projection 31.
