PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform necessary reboot processing at timing by correctly determining a state where a user is not using an image forming device.SOLUTION: In an image forming device for performing image processing by managing system resources, a level to which a state to be rebooted by a system has changed is determined. Reboot processing is reserved according to the determined level. A brightness level around an image forming device body is detected. According to the detected brightness level and the level of reboot processing, permission/inhibition of execution of reboot processing by a reboot step is controlled.
