The battery has the single cells (1) that are stacked prismatically between the cell frames (4). An electrode stack of the single cells is welded in between the films. A welded edge region (2) of the films is sandwiched between two frame portions (4.1,4.2) of the cell frame. The slats (13) are arranged in a slat support (12) of the cell frame and are extended transversely to the stacking direction. The slat support is made of plastic. The cell frames and slat support are provided with the locking elements.
