The present invention discloses a projection welding electrode capable of preventing the damage to a tip and of improving productivity by performing the work for replacing tips. The present invention comprises a shank, a tip, a bolt, and an O-ring seal. The shank has a cooling water passage for supplying cooling water to pass through the center thereof, slits formed on the lower part of the outer surface thereof from the end thereof to the length direction to be communicated with the cooling water passage, a through hole formed one side of the outer surface thereof to be communicated with slits. The tip includes a head having a contact surface formed to be contacted with a welded piece, a boss extended to the upper side of the head, a bore formed to be communicated with the cooling passage in the center of the boss. The bolt is connected through a through hole to a screw hole to fix the boss on the cooling water passage. The O-ring seal is mounted on the outer side of the boss to seal the gap between the cooling water passage and the boss. The present invention is provided to reduce wasted time for improving productivity by facilitating the disassembly and assembly works between the shank and the tip, to make the hitting for the assembly of the tip unnecessary by securely bolting and fixing the shank and the tip, and to have the useful effect of improving reliability by preventing the leak of cooling water. |
