PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of an aromatic carboxylic acid is provided to reduce concentration of brome in a reaction solvent, thereby inhibiting corrosion. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an aromatic carboxylic acid comprises a step of liquid phase oxidizing an aromatic hydrocarbon compound in a polar organic solvent, under the presence of a mixed catalyst of a metal catalyst, brome compound, and imide compound. The added amount of the brome compound is 200-400 rpm of the polar organic solvent. The conversion ratio of the aromatic hydrocarbon compound is 90% or more. The aromatic hydrocarbon compound includes an aromatic compound with C1-10 alkyl group. |
