PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a zinc or a zinc alloy layer adhered firmly to a steel material.SOLUTION: A mixture prepared by adding a binder to zinc powder is applied onto a steel material, and the applied face is induction-heated to melt the zinc powder, so that a zinc layer adhered firmly to the steel material can be formed. Moreover, a mixture is prepared by mixing the zinc powder and another metal powder and adding a binder to the mixed powders, the mixture is applied onto the steel material, and the applied face is induction-heated, so that a zinc alloy layer having more improved corrosion resistance than the zinc layer can be formed.
