The battery (1) has battery single cells i.e. pouch cells, comprising an electrode stack. The electrode stack is weldingly formed between films. The cells are clamped between cell frames (5) and stacked to a stack (3). The frames comprise engagement hooks (14) over which one of the frames is latched with another frame in the stack. The frames are made as an injection molded part, and a resilient lip is molded at the frames. Electrical contact pins (7) of the cells are connected with a cooling device i.e. active cooled plate (9), over an electrically insulating heat conductive material (8).
