PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass film transport device which takes up a glass film and a protective sheet in a layer while inhibiting breakage of the glass film.SOLUTION: A glass film transport device 1a includes: an unwinding unit 2 for unwinding a glass film from a roll on which the glass film is laminated with a long protective sheet having the substantially same width as the glass film; a glass film transport unit 3 for transporting the glass film unwound from the unwinding unit 2 and separated from the protective sheet; a take-up unit 4 for laminating the long protective sheet having the substantially same width as the glass film on the glass film transported by the glass film transport unit 3 and taking it up like a roll; and a protective sheet transport unit 5a for carrying out the protective sheet unwound from the unwinding unit 2 and separated from the glass film and also carrying the protective sheet to the take-up unit 4. The device includes a take-up adjustment mechanism for adjusting the take-up state of the protective sheet and the glass film in the take-up unit 4.
