PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal connection method for a Litz wire that can enhance the connection reliability (electrical connection, wire holding performance, resistance to vibration, etc.) between a Litz wire and a terminal fitting and dissolve poor appearance of a terminal connection portion.SOLUTION: A terminal connection method comprises a first step for removing an insulating coating of a predetermined length from one end of a Litz wire, a second step for inserting into a crimping portion a terminal portion of the Litz wire from which the insulating coating is removed, a third step for compressing a first portion of the crimping portion with first compression force to plastically deform the crimping portion wholly, whereby the terminal portion of the Litz wire is temporarily fixed to the crimping portion, a fourth step for compressing a second portion as a part of the first portion with second compression force higher than the first compression force to plastically deform the crimping portion and the Litz wire locally, and a fifth step for pouring molten solder from the tip side of the crimping portion to fix the Litz wire to a terminal fitting. A Litz wire is connected to a closed barrel type terminal fitting by the terminal connection method. |
