PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo compressor and a turbo refrigerator, capable of effectively suppressing the discharge of lubricating oil via a pressure equalizer.SOLUTION: A turbo compressor 5 is adopted which includes a pressure equalizer for distributing gas from a gear unit storage space S4 toward an IGV storage space, and an oil separator 41 provided in the gear unit storage space S4 for separating lubricating oil contained in the gas, from the gas. The oil separator 41 has a suction duct 42 communicated with the pressure equalizer, and the suction duct 42 has centrifugal separation parts 50a, 50b which consist of first demisters 52a, 52b, second demisters 53a, 53b provided on the further downstream sides than the first demisters 52a, 52b with respect to the suction direction, and curve passages 54a, 54b provided between the first demisters 52a, 52b and the second demisters 53a, 53b, respectively. |
