<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous dispersion for inkjet recording excellent in print density and filterability, and to provide an aqueous ink for inkjet printing containing the aqueous dispersion obtained using the method. <P>SOLUTION: (1) This method for producing the aqueous dispersion for inkjet recording includes a step of adding a cationic polymer to an aqueous dispersion having a water-insoluble anionic polymer containing a colorant in a shearing condition of 1 m/s or more of the shear rate, using a rotary shearing type stirring apparatus having a rotor-stator structure.
