[Also in Division C7] Aqueous emulsions of a resin containing ester groups but no epoxy groups contain a watersoluble ionizable salt of an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid containing up to 9 carbon atoms with a fatty tertiary amine in which the fatty carbon chain has 12-24 carbon atoms as dispersing agent. The resins particularly described are esterified epoxy resins. The compositions may also contain aminoplasts, phenoplasts, polyamides, polysulphides, polyamines and acids as curing agents or modifiers, pigments and xylol. They are useful as electrophoretic coating compositions.</p> |
