<p>The device (102) has a print head (103) working according to an ink jet principle. A suction mechanism (109) sucks ink fog, which occurs during discharge of ink drop (106) from a nozzle (103.1) of the print head. The mechanism includes a suction inlet (109.1) directly arranged adjacent to the nozzle in an operating condition of the print head. The print head discharges ink drop from the nozzle in such a manner that an essentially unimpaired suction flow (109.4) is adjustable between the nozzle and the suction inlet. An independent claim is also included for a method for operation of a printing device for a franking machine.</p> |
