<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminating device which can be made small-sized and low-cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the terminating device transmitting/receiving packets to and from an end station device, a supply voltage monitoring circuit 9 monitors a voltage value of an external power supply input and not only outputs a power interruption detection signal 12 to a first circuit for informing the end station device of a power interruption but also stopping the operation of a second circuit other than the first circuit, in response to reduction of the voltage value of the external supply input to a prescribed voltage value or lower. In order to stop the operation of the second circuit, the supply voltage monitoring circuit 9 outputs a reset signal 13 to the second circuit in response to reduction of the voltage value of the external supply input to the prescribed voltage value or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
