<p>The present method for operating a personal portable terminal with a touch panel includes the steps of: defining a virtual reference line along the border of a display related to the touch panel; maintaining a database which stores a start drawing having a factor that intersects the virtual reference line for two or more times and one or more execution features attributed to the start drawing; determining whether the user input drawing received through the touch panel matches to the start drawing; and performing the execution feature defined by the start drawing according the judgment regarding the comparison of the input drawing.
