PURPOSE: A solenoid valve for a fuel cell and a control method thereof are provided to smoothly operate the valve in a frozen state and to minimize the cold start time of a fuel cell vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve(10) for a fuel cell comprises a plunger(12), a hold coil(13), and a core(14). The plunger is embedded in a valve body(11) of the solenoid valve to be lifted. The hold coil is arranged in the outer peripheral part of the plunger. The core is embedded at the top of the plunger. A peak coil(15) is arranged between the plunger and the hold coil to operate the plunger in a frozen state. The diameter and the wound number of the peak coil are increased than the hold coil. |
