The head (12) has a neck (26) comprising an opening at a free end (30), and a shoulder (36) connected at a second end of the neck. An insert (44) forming a barrier is placed on an internal surface of the shoulder. The insert includes a metal layer and an external edge (56) continuously covered by a plastic material. An internal orifice in alignment of the neck defines an internal edge (54). The insert is linear between the edges. The internal edge and an internal surface of the insert directed toward an internal volume are covered by plastic material in a discontinuous manner. An independent claim is also included for a mold for manufacturing a tube head in a plastic material.
