PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid coupling apparatus and a method thereof, in which fluid connection can be achieved by an apparatus to be small-sized, leak tight in structure, solid, and easy to use.SOLUTION: A method for coupling a hydrogen supply source to a hydrogen receiving container of a portable fuel cell device includes: a step for magnetically engaging a first coupling member for fluid-communicating to the hydrogen supply source with a second coupling member for fluid-communicating to the hydrogen receiving container and aligning a first engagement part of the first coupling member and a second engagement part of the second coupling member; a step for establishing sealing between the first coupling member and the second coupling member and also preventing leakage of hydrogen gas between the hydrogen supply source of which the hydrogen pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure and the hydrogen receiving container; and a step for opening a fluid passage between the first coupling member and the second coupling member and also moving a valve member of the first engagement part from an elastically energized sealed position to a non-sealed position. |
