The present invention relates to a laser light source in which changes in the propagation state of randomly polarized laser light can be suppressed. In the laser light source, an isolator, which includes a faraday rotator crystal having a positive thermo-optical constant, and a nonlinear optical crystal having a negative thermo-optical constant are provided, in that order, along the traveling direction of the laser light. The nonlinear optical crystal is disposed so that the perpendicular incidence of incident light is avoided, and the propagation axis of light propagating through the crystal and the optical axis of the crystal are parallel to each other. |
