PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic wire having excellent aesthetic property and biocompatibility, further having excellent bending characteristics, and being practically usable.SOLUTION: The orthodontic wire includes a glass fiber bundle formed by binding glass fibers continuing from one end to the other end, and a matrix resin covering the glass fibers. The glass fiber includes 64.0-66.0 mass% of SiO, 24.0-26.0 mass% of AlO, and 9.0-11.0 mass% of MgO. In the orthodontic wire, the glass fiber is composed of a glass composition in which a total of SiO, AlO, and MgO is 99.0 mass% or more and has a diameter of 3-15 μm, and the matrix resin is polycarbonate. |
