PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of noise when capturing an image by a CMOS image sensor.SOLUTION: At timing of stopping discharge of a charge accumulated in a photodiode PD by a discharge transistor TR_OFG in order to enter an exposure period of a pixel array part, a selection pulse SEL for operating a selection transistor TR_SEL is generated from a selection pulse line SEL for a pixel in a dummy row not contributing to an image among pixels composing the pixel array part. The present technique is applicable to an imaging device.
