PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an operation burden for accurately selecting an object likely to induce occurrence of a wrong operation by a user without causing the user to recognize a specific operation.SOLUTION: A display device 10 can detect a proximity operation performed by getting a finger F proximate to a display plane 141 con-tactlessly and a proximity operation performed by bringing the finger into contact with the display plane 141. The display device 10 is configured to: specify a position of the user finger located when the user finger is in a stationary state with the user finger being floated from the display plane 141 as reference positions BP1 and BP2 on the basis of the proximity operation of the user; and when the reference positions BP1 and BP2 are specified after displaying a screen SC1 including a selectable object on the display plane 141, perform an enlargement display of an object in a specific area Ts in accordance with the specified reference position (object with [M] at a code end). Thereby, when the display device 10 is operated by a single hand of the user, an instruction by a contact operation of an object located far away from the finger can be supported.
