PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of suppressing creases, floating, and elongation of a recording medium by exerting sufficient back tension on the recording medium to make the recording medium closely adhere to a recording medium conveyance drum.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus includes a recording head (an inkjet recording head 3) for recording an image, a recording medium conveyance drum 5 for conveying a recording medium 4 with a leading edge of the recording medium 4 retained therein, and a pressing roller 8 for pressing the recording medium 4 against the recording medium conveyance drum 5. The recording apparatus further includes a driving unit (a driving motor) that rotates the pressing roller 8 at a speed lower than a rotation speed of the recording medium conveyance drum 5, and a torque limiter connected between the pressing roller 8 and the driving unit. |
