PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate visual check of foreign materials on the reading face of a skimming glass.SOLUTION: A light guide member 208 is disposed so as to vertically penetrate in the gap between a reader exterior portion 205 and a skimming glass 207. Diffusion light emitted from LED 222 in a first exposure portion 202 of a reading unit 201 which is moved to a dust display position is emitted from a light emission portion 223b through a light guide member 223 for exposure to light, and incident to a light incidence portion 212 of the light guide member 208. An emission portion 213 of the light guide member 208 is located on substantially the same plane as the reading face 207a of the skimming glass 207. Light flux incident from the light incidence portion 212 is reflected from a prism portion 225, and applied from the emission portion 213 to the reading face 207a of the skimming glass 207 in parallel or substantially in parallel to the reading face 207a. |
