HIGH PURITY ETHYLENE DIAMINE AQUEOUS SOLUTION AND PRESERVING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high purity ethylene diamine aqueous solution and a preserving method of the same.SOLUTION: The ethylene diamine aqueous solution is characterized by comprising: 20 wt.% or more and less than 90 wt.% of water; and 300 ppb or less of metal impurities and is preserved in a vessel in which at least faces brought into contact with the solution are made of a resin. The ethylene diamine aqueous solution comprises: 20 wt.% or more and less than 48 wt.% of water; and 300 ppb or less of metal impurities. The preserving method comprises preserving an ethylene diamine aqueous solution including 48 wt.% or more and less than 90 wt.% of water and 100 ppb or less of metal impurities by using a vessel in which at least faces brought into contact with the solution are made of a resin. The resin is preferably a polyethylene resin. The ethylene diamine preserved by such a method contains a small amount of metal impurities and can be safely transported.
