PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a heat exchanger to a state capable of preventing fluid from flowing out to the outside and having sufficiently high pressure resistance performance within a short period even when the heat exchanger is turned to a state that a partition wall partitioning between a channel of an outermost layer of a heat exchange part and an inner space of a protection part adjacent to the channel is damaged and the fluid is allowed to flow out from an open part formed in the protection part to the outside.SOLUTION: In a heat exchanger 1, open ports 24 m for releasing fluid to the outside when the fluid flows into an inner space 32 are formed on protection part bodies 24a of respective protection parts 24 arranged on both outsides of a heat exchange part 22. A protection part fin plate 24b of each protection part 24, even when an inner pressure set as a design pressure of a portion constituting a channel 30 of the outermost layer adjacent to the protection part 24 out of the heat exchange part 22 is applied to the inner space 32 of the protection part body 24a of the protection part 24, has strength capable of maintaining a connection state between an outer surface of a partition plate 22c of the outermost layer and a joining plate 24c of the protection part body 24a facing the outer surface. |
