PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely perform sealing.SOLUTION: There is provided an enclosing and sealing apparatus which comprises: a heating part 78 for heating an envelope paper conveyed on a conveyance path; a hydrating mechanism 99 which is provided on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the envelope paper with respect to the heating part 78 and applies water to an adhesive-coated area 123 of the envelope paper on which a re-moistening adhesive is coated; and an envelope forming part 85 for folding the envelope paper to which water is applied by the hydrating mechanism 99 in two so that the adhesive-coated area 123 is inside. The heating part 78 heats a heating region 124, which is a position facing the adhesive-coated area 123 when the envelope paper is folded in two by the envelope forming part 85. |
