The filter has a filtration layer (1) made of a glass fiber medium. A melt-blown layer (2) is attached at a diverting side of the filtration layer for prevention or reduction of the entry of glass fibers into a liquid e.g. lubricating oil, to be filtered. A spun bonded fibrous web (3) is applied for better manageability of the filtration layer. The filtration and melt-blown layers and the fibrous web exhibit thickness of 0.3 to 1.0, 0.2 to 0.7 and 0.05 to 0.2 millimeter, respectively, and weight per unit area of 40 to 110, 20 to 60 and 10 to 50 gram per meter square, respectively. |
