Disclosed are a mobile terminal for displaying content by overlapping additional information and a method for displaying content by using the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal comprises: a display unit; an input unit receiving a user input; and a control unit which controls the display unit such that a display overlaps first additional information, among a plurality of additional information of content displayed as an image on the display, with the content and displays the overlapped content, and which controls the display unit such that the display displays second additional information among the plurality of addition information on the content, in response to the user input. The plurality of addition information includes location information and time information on the content.
