DISPLAY PANEL AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

Disclosed are a display panel, and a display device having the same which includes a backlight unit arranged in the lower side of the display panel. The display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an upper substrate; a lower substrate which is arranged to face the upper substrate along the proceeding direction of irradiation light irradiated from a backlight unit; a liquid crystal layer which fills a space between the upper substrate and the lower substrate; a polarization layer which is interposed in at least lower side of the upper substrate in the display panel along the incidence direction of the irradiation light on the upper substrate and transmits light of a predetermined polarization direction among the irradiation light; and a reflective light suppression layer which is formed on a light exit surface of the upper substrate from which the irradiation light exits and suppresses reflection of external light due to external circumstances.
