A universal material testing machine which can perform tensile of a material, compression tests, etc. by applying a vertical load on a specimen and a grip unit thereof are introduced. Of these, the grip unit of a universal material testing machine comprises: a fixing grip formed with a rail groove; a moving grip in which a grip surface in contact with the end portion of a specimen is formed on the front surface and whose rear surface is arranged to be in contact with the fixing grip; and a connecting member connecting the fixing grip and the moving grip for the moving grip to move along the rail groove. |
