A cool bag comprises a main bag section 102 forming an insulated pocket and a tubular expandable section 104 attached to the opening of the main bag section 102. The expandable section 104 has a lining of flexible insulating material, such as Gore-Tex (RTM) or Thinsulate (RTM). The main bag section 102 and lid 106 may have an insulating foam lining. The lid 106 is attached to the upper opening of the expandable section 104 so as to allow access to an inside of the cool bag. Fastening means such as a zip may be provided to attach an upper edge and a lower edge of the expandable section in the contracted state. A method of folding a cool bag for storage by turning a pouch (208, fig.3) inside out and storing a main bag section (202, fig.3) inside the pouch is also disclosed (see figure 3). |
