Method for reducing the natural aroma of polyamide-based moulded parts

Reducing intrinsic odor of molded parts made of polyamide molding composition with citric acid by adding molding material or by external action on the molded part, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) use of citric acid to reduce the inherent odor of molded articles based on polyamide molding composition and for reducing the formation of odor in the treatment of moldings based on polyamide-molding composition with moisture; and (2) a polyamide-molding composition comprising (A) 50-99.999 wt.% of polyamide, and (B) 0.001-10 wt.%, preferably 0.1-3 wt.% of citric acid.
