An aerodynamic device 24, suitable for fitting to a front section 22 of a roof 16 of a load compartment 10 of a vehicle 1, has an air guiding member 26 defining an airway 34 between member 26 and front section 22 of roof 16, which may allow for a lamellar flow over roof 16. An attachment structure 32 mounts member 26 to vehicle 1 so that member 26 is spaced from front section 22. Member 26 preferably extends below and forward of the front edge of roof 16. Member 26 may be sheet-like or plate-like, and may be continuously curved or comprise two or more planar sections. Attachment structure 22 preferably comprises two arms and may pivot to adjust member 26 or allow member 26 to be stowed. Vehicle 1 is preferably a road vehicle, particularly a lorry but also a car or van. |
