A machine 10 for producing orally dissolving pellets (11) comprises a multiple extrusion unit (12) including a central charging location (14), a double-punching station with two extrusion locations 13a, 13b each associated with a punching device 16a, 16b and placed on opposite sides of the central charging location, and an extrusion tray 17 with two perforated forms 25a, 25b for receiving the punches 23 of the punching devices. A linear movement device (26) moves the extrusion tray between two operating positions where each perforated form is alternatively placed under an extrusion location and the central charging location. Also provided is a method for producing orally dissolving pellets from a paste-like mixture (M), which may include charging perforated form 25a, extruding and detaching the paste-like mixture (M) while simultaneously charging perforated form 25b, and extruding and detaching the paste-like mixture (M) from perforated form 25b while simultaneously charging perforated form 25a. |
