UV STABLE POLYOLEFIN COMPOUNDS

An ultraviolet (UV) light resistant polyolefin masterbatch and polyolefin compound are disclosed, both benefiting from the presence of a minor amount of untreated fumed silica to assist the performance of conventional hindered amine ultraviolet light stabilizers in the masterbatch and compound. As little as 0.004% of untreated fumed silica in the compound can improve the accelerated UV aging performance dramatically and unexpectedly.
