The present invention relates to an uplink resource allocation method. The method comprises: generating resource allocation information; and sending the resource allocation information to a user equipment in a physical downlink control channel, the resource allocation information containing a resource allocation domain of a resource allocated to a user equipment, so that the user equipment determines the resource allocated to this user equipment according to the resource allocation domain, wherein the resource allocation domain comprises a number indication field bit of a resource block group allocated to the user equipment, and an indication information field bit of at least one resource block, allocated to the user equipment, in the resource block group which is allocated to the user equipment. With the method provided in the embodiments of the present invention, the minimum granularity of resource allocation in machine-type communication can be reduced, thus achieving the purpose of saving resources.
