The cage (5) has multiple pockets (9) provided with cylindrical walls for rolling elements (4) i.e. balls, where the cage is made of synthetic material such as polymer material. The pockets are not provided with an axial holding unit (13) for holding the cage on the rolling elements. An individual pocket (10) is provided with a spherical wall, and allows the axial holding unit to hold the cage on one of the rolling elements accommodated in the individual pocket. An annular end portion between the pockets is extended in an axial direction by separating portions (7). An independent claim is also included for a rolling bearing.
