PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel product with a drainage function capable of sufficiently developing drainage effects.SOLUTION: In a steel product 2, a draining member 3 forming a drain channel 4 is provided along the longitudinal direction of the steel product 2, and a plurality of water-distributable openings 5 are provided in the draining member 3. The draining member 3 is divided into a plurality of sections in the longitudinal direction. The opening area per unit length of the openings 5 in a drain section 15 where water is drained from the drain channel 4 of the draining member 3 into a ground is larger than the opening area per unit length of the openings 5 in an inflow section 16 where the water flows from the ground into the drain channel 4, and the total opening area of the openings 5 in the drain section 15 is equal to or larger than a water-passing cross section area of the drain channel 4, thus sufficiently developing drainage effects.
